Call to Order – Meeting started at 4:06 PM.
Getting to Know You
Shout Outs
Last month: Lauren for Spirit Wear.
This month: Joanne for fundraising, Hannah for social media, and Nancy for University Parents.
Hannah was recognized for taking pictures, tagging Mrs. Graham, and posting to social media.
Chancellor Report
Complaint pamphlets are available in the office for anyone who has a complaint; complaints route to HR at the district office.
Golf tournament is scheduled for March 8 in Pomona. PEP will provide a basket to be auctioned off to help fund student scholarships, including the Julie Golben Scholarship.
During Parent Teacher Conference week, Angie will provide copy training.
The Leadership Team of Professors for academic support received $2,500 from the state to support field trips, admissions, and buses.
Treasurer Report
The year starts with a healthy bank account.
A dip is expected due to Science Summer Camp expenses, but Apex is coming up.
Spirit Wear sales are doing well.
Apex Fundraiser
Total raised: $52,872, plus business matching.
Any scholar who raises $30 or more will qualify for a pie-in-the-face reward for Audrey.
The fundraiser will be extended to Saturday at midnight.
Fundraisers
RaiseRight will start September 18.
Read-a-thon is a good idea and could take place during Read Across America.
Spirit Wear
All orders are caught up.
University shirts will no longer be restocked.
Car decals have been designed and ordered.
Hats are being quoted.
Book Fair
Many volunteer spots are still open, especially Thursday and Friday.
The 30 classroom teachers will each receive $50 in Scholastic Dollars to spend.
Share the Fair will ask families to round up so funds can help students who need extra change.
If funds remain, they may be shared with RSP and intervention teachers.
Family Fun Night
Chuck E. Cheese event will need volunteers to pass out homework passes.
A SignUpGenius will be sent out shortly.

Open Floor
University Tailgate donations were discussed.
Wetzel’s Pretzels will not be available.
October Ringo/haunted house planning: help is needed for setup. Volunteers from Magnolia and Chino High School may dress up and surprise the students.

· Apex Fundraiser
o Dates: August 31–September 11.
o Fun Run scheduled for September 10
o Fundraiser Ideas
Yard signs for 6th grade graduates; Jeanette to research cost. The company will complete the work; parents will create, purchase, and ship orders to their homes.
Blankets may also be offered.
Suggestion car decals, possibly an “R” with Rhodes across it to match the current logo.
RaiseRight will run all year long.
· Family Fun Nights - Wednesday, August 26, 12:00–8:00 PM at Raising Cane’s.
· Spirit Wear
o At Parent Collegiate Night, shirts, bows, and older yearbooks will be sold for $10 cash only.
o T-shirts will be promoted through online orders for pickup; volunteers will support pickup and sales.
· Book Fair – Hoda
o Dates/sign-up: September 14–18, 2026.
o Tuesday night only; the event will not align with STEAM Night.
o Scholastic Dollars: determine the number of teachers so funds can be split among 32 teachers.
o Request pennies to use during the event.
o Collect change for students who may be short. Scholastic has created “Share the Fair” donations from families who round up or donate at purchase.
· Tailgate Party
o Scheduled for Friday, September 11, 4:00–6:00 PM.
o Each class will have a booth.
o Food trucks and a coffee truck will be available.
o The event will provide an opportunity for parents to get to know each other.
· University Parents / Art Master Volunteers – Hannah
o Set rules, expectations, and items to address during the meeting.
o Gather signatures and review expectations.
o UP Meet and Greet scheduled for September 3.
· Open Floor
o A Santa may be needed for the Night of Giving.
o Flags for Flag Football are in the bin.
o All equipment was pulled out from bins and storage during the summer.
